Fashion Design School
The International Academy's program in Fashion Design is an intense course of study that is designed to prepare graduates for a career in the designing, making and marketing of fashion.
Students are introduced to the development and construction of apparel, as well as the fundamentals of design and the sourcing and use of textiles. The student combines the use of their newly learned hands-on skills with a variety of creative design projects. As well, students are introduced to the commercial side of the fashion design world, to computer applications, and the knitting machine.
By the time graduates are ready to enter the industry, they have developed a professional portfolio. They should be ready to face the challenges of a career in the fashion industry. The reality of fashion design is that you have to run faster and work smarter. Graduates should be prepared not just to respond to fashion trends, but to establish them.
