International Academy of Design & Technology is a career-oriented academy located in the beautiful northwestern city of Seattle. We strive to provide students with a comprehensive curriculum by embracing traditional practices and combining them with energetic contemporary ideas. At IADT - Seattle, we stand by our commitment to academic excellence. We offer excellent programs in Fashion Design, Interior Design, and Visual Communications. In order to provide the personal attention our students demand, we keep class sizes small to promote dynamic discussion within the classroom and to allow for individual attention from our experienced instructors.

Associate of Applied Science in Fashion Design, Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design
We offer both an Associate of Applied Science and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Fashion Design. Our goal is to encourage students to develop their creative talents, so they can become innovative designers in the field. The program focuses on techniques of fine craftsmanship, consumer-based needs, and business awareness. At the International Academy of Design & Technology – Seattle, the Fashion Design curriculum was developed to be an intense set of courses that can prepare graduates for a career in the designing, making and marketing of fashion. Plus, in order to sharpen their skills using textile equipment, students work with industrial machines, cutting tables, and dress forms.
Students can learn:

- Pattern Drafting, Draping, and Construction
By the time our graduates are ready to enter the industry, they are expected to have developed a professional portfolio they can be proud to show to any prospective employer. The reality of fashion design is that you have to run faster and work smarter. Graduates should be prepared not just to respond to fashion trends, but to create them.
